National Socialist Monoliths â Hitler had dreams of being an architect and his ideas for Germania, the capitol of the Thousand Year Reich were as megalomaniacal as his plans for Europe. The heavy, neoclassical style of the Nazi aesthetic stands out wherever it was built. Many examples have survived, from Hermann Goeringâs Luft Ministerium building, the Reich Mint, Olympic Stadium and the worlds third largest building, Templehof Airport.
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly of East Berlin â Starting in Alexanderplatz, this tour begins the show piece of the DDR; a square for the people. Then we go to the forbidden zones of the Stasi; including the archives and the headquarters of that organization. Stand in the office of Erich Mielke, one of the most feared men in Europe. From there, to one of the most dreaded prisons, the Stasi remand prison at Hohenschoenhausen; a place where thousands of people just disappeared.

The Shopping and Spa Adventure â A day of pleasures! A morning spent shopping in the city, a quiet lunch and then off to the sauna for some relaxation. A perfect treat for either the start or the end of your Berlin adventure. Not precisely for the faint of heart, as your guide will explain with all the spa ettiquette. The GrecoRoman spaunas of Germany are au naturelle and on certain days are co-educational. While your guide wonât accompany you into the Sauna, but will drop you off and pick you up at the appointed time.
